Last Wednesday I had the pleasure to attend and contribute to the Farewell Symposium of dr. Roel Kloos, who has been my first mentor since I started out in Ocuplastic Surgery. He is an excellent surgeon and fantastic colleague and I have learned so much from him over the past decade and a half.
I spoke on the controversial topic of the treatment of tearing eyes in early childhood and especially about the differences in treatment (balloon dilatation vs. silicone tube intubation) between different countries that I have navigated over the last years.
Looking forward to next DOS meeting in January 2026!
